Construction
Winston & Cashatt, Lawyers has a long-standing tradition of specializing in construction litigation and dispute resolution. Our construction practice group has earned an outstanding reputation in preventative law practices, alternative dispute resolution and litigation.
Clients include general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, public and private owners, surety companies and many others. Their legal needs arise anywhere from the initial stages of bidding and contract document review and development to construction defects that surface long after the project is completed.
Founded by Pat Winston more than 40 years ago, the construction law practice group handles construction disputes, claims and litigation throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Montana . We are one of the few firms that accept construction claims on a contingent fee basis. Our clients seek resolutions on a variety of issues.
Our attorneys, some of whom have more than 25 years of construction law experience, have handled numerous cases before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Board of Contract Appeals and state and federal courts. Some of those cases have resulted in multi-million dollar verdicts, judgments or settlements.
Costly litigation is one of the greatest challenges to the construction industry. We place a substantial emphasis on preventative law. Involving lawyers early in the construction project process can resolve disputes without expensive litigation or greatly minimize their impact on the job.
